Expo Features the Best of Hancock County

and the Chance to Win $1,000 Cash

Event is Thursday, October 29 from 4-7pm at the Armory

The Hancock Chamber Expo is a sell-out event, so make plans today to be there on Thursday, October 29th from 4-7pm at the Armory (MS Army Readiness Center) on Kiln DeLisle Road down from Banty’s Restaurant and Annunciation Church.

There will be plenty of give-aways from area businesses and everyone who enters the Expo will have the chance to win $1,000 cash. Ten local businesses put up the money for this special drawing. Visit these Expo Hot Spots to get your entry card stamped and you will be eligible for the drawing: Accelerated Physical Therapy, Advanced Collision Services, Bay Tobacco and Beer, Hairworks, Hancock County Library System, Hancock Medical Center, Keesler Federal Credit Union, Pickering Engineering, Philip’s Pest Control, Sabic, and Statewide Insurance Services. After all ten hot spots have been visited, you will then be eligible to place your entry card in the bin for the $1,000 cash drawing. At 7pm, one lucky person will be announced the winner. And, you must be present to win so stick around for great networking and the opportunity to shop local first.

“The Hancock Chamber Expo is more like a festive event,” said organizer LeAyn Walton of Coast Electric Power Association. “We will cut the ribbon to officially open the Expo at 4pm and when we do the show will begin,” she said.

“During the Expo, you will have the opportunity to meet with close to 60 business owners from throughout Hancock County as they showcase their products and services to lure you to shop local first,” said organizer Janell Nolan of Coast Electric Power Association. Area restaurants will provide culinary delights from Lawler’s Bistro, Anchor Seafood, Steaks & Po-boys, Banty’s and Claiborne Hill Grocery (Waveland’s future grocery store).

The event is open to the general public and there is a $3 donation at the door to help underwrite the costs for the event, which is sponsored by Coast Electric Power Association, Imagine That!, Seal’s Marketplace, Edward Jones Investments, Gulf Coast IT Services, Rotolo Consulting Group, Coast Coca Cola Bottling Company, Kentwood Water, Pettigrew Forestry Consultants, Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company, and Cellular South. Other annual sponsors include: Hollywood Casino - Bay St. Louis, The Sea Coast Echo, the Sun Herald, the Sunshine Pages, Balch & Bingham, Charles B. Benvenutti, CPA, DuPont DeLisle, Hancock Bank, Mississippi Power Company, Magnolia Printing, Treutel Insurance Agency, Cellular South, Statewide Insurance, The Peoples Bank, The First, and Whitney National Bank.

The new Kiln Business Council of the Chamber is host to the event with more than 100 businesses now part of this committee led by Judith Redshaw of Giclee Fine Arts. Concurrent sessions on business topics will run from 12noon to 4pm on Thursday, October 29th.”
